[HELP!] I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES QUOTE

    Me and co-workers were arguing over a quote by Casey Jones in first turtles movie.

    When Casey Jones is beating Ralph's ass, he pulls out a bat. Ralphael goes on to say "A Jose Canseco Bat?....tell me....you didnt pay money for this"



    Is he trying to say Jose Canseco sucks, and the bat isn't worth paying for? To me, this wouldnt make sense becuase obviously Jose was a beast in the late 80's. The movie came out in March 1990.

    or is he trying to say that a Jose Canseco bat is really expensive...not even money could buy it?

    why is this movie so complicated?

    Notice their accents, both very 'New Yourk'... I think the point is that he isn't a Yankee, so he sucks.

    yeah, unless they foresaw the whole steroids thing, i don't really get it either. the first 2 explanations aren't really anything a wide audience would get. but given the greatness that is TMNT, there must be a good reason it's in there.

    and after looking at imdb, apparently all the turtles' voice actors had a little bit part to get some face time.

    I remember watching this movie when I was six years old and the part that really confused me at the time was when Danny jumped out of his dad's car while they were stopped at a traffic light and started walking underground.

    I was confused -- Houston never had subways.
