Help! I can't figure out what snorkelling gear to buy!

Does anyone here go snorkelling much and have equipment they love/hate?

I've been to Academy, Oshman's and a couple dive shops so far. I did order a prescription mask, which should be pretty cool ($80), but I'm having real trouble figuring out what brands to buy or how much money to spend on the rest of the gear.

We hope to go back to places where we can snorkel once or twice a year, but I can't say for sure right now. I've seen a lot of Body Glove equipment at Oshman's, and there is one really cool snorkel that apparently prevents all water from entering it, but other than that I'm kind of lost. The previously mentioned dry snorkel (OceanMaster Dry Snorkel) is cool, but it's also at least $40 on the web (no idea how much in shops).
