Well, I got the HDTV, now I need the home theatre speaker system to go with it. I'm looking for the least expensive best system I can find if there is such a thing. I may be able to mount some of the speakers, but I'm not sure just yet. Any suggestions or a point in the right direction and right store would be appreciated.
if you're on a budget, those Home Theater in a box solution should work ok. I'd recommend the Onkyo HT-S790. Here's some info on it: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=757222
Here's one I'm looking at...Fry's has it for $169. http://shop1.outpost.com/product/5186716 SONY HTDDW790 Component Home Theater System Digital Cinema Auto Calibration: Creating a realistic surround sound experience has never been easier. You're getting a lot for that price tag, it looks like a good deal. Have you had a chance to listen to the system yet?
Review of that system by 1 person on amazon.com : http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HTD-DW79...7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1181368888&sr=8-1 FYI : Circuit City has it for $10 more : http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony...74935/catOid/-12954/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do Other sites online have it, too.
I put together a system piece by piece but I'm still missing the .1 part of the setup. It's really hard to find stand alone woofers that aren't really expensive.
