I know of two go-kart places in Houston. Don't know the names of them, unfortunately.

One is on Chimney Rock just north of Bellaire Blvd. Standard go-karts.

There is another one on Schumacher, between Fountainview and Hillcroft, that's an indoor track where the go-karts are done up like Indy cars. I believe you can only rent by the hour there.

    There's always Mountasia. :D

Actually, there is a Go-Cart track a few miles from I-45 on West Montgomery Rd.. I think the name is something like Raceway. They were above average.

How is that place? I've heard of it before, but never been.

I've only been inside of it to take a look. Never actually paid and drove go-karts in there. But it looks righteous. Plus, you can rent the whole thing out for parties. Imagine a group of 20 of your closest friends, inebriated as hell, racing Indy style go karts around an indoor track!

Houston Grand Prix on Hwy. 59 North. Back in the 80s they had the fastest carts in the area. It may not even be there anymore...

When I was young, I used to go to Malibu Grand Prix on the SW Freeway all the time. Weird how that land has stayed vacant all this time.

Dude that place Rox but get ready for some sore forearms because your literally fighting for control on the corners and the speed is awesome.. You have to wear a helmet and go see a instruction video to ride the carts... If you are friends with them they will increase the speed because the fast little suckers can exceed 45mph but you will hardley ever reach that speed. Totally fun and since it's indoors you can enjoy it anytime of the day..

OMG someone said Houston Grand Prix was that the race track on 59? Heading north before you hit Chimney rock? Dude if so that track has been gong for like 10 years hahahha

I once was go karting on those hi-speed karts. I spun out, and this dude hit me from straight on from the side. He was going about 30 mph. It was surreal b/c it seemed like he had 2 seconds to shift over and miss hitting me. But he hit me, and I couldn't walk straight for about a week, since I had back pain. Oh and the kid who hit me was Hispanic for those of you keeping tally.
