I've done everything I can think of, including unplugging the box, but I can't get the picture back to NORMAL. I can do zoom 1, 2 and 3, but it won't go back to normal. I'm not sure how it got on zoom in the first place.

Time to bring the box back in?

Comcast is horrible. Do the right thing and ditch the box.

I would if I didn't have to pay a fee to have a dish in my area.

Yes. The "NORMAL" setting does not even appear on the SETTINGS list on the box using the remote.

    Update:

Well, it turned out that the HD channels looked ok. The problem was only happening on the SD channels.

I changed my settings to FIXED instead of AUTO DVI/HDMI and it looks ok.

Any idea why that is? If I'm using HDMI shouldn't I have it on that setting?

Where do I change that? And do I have to changed that when going between sd/hd channels?

Have you called Comcast? I had a similar resolution "problem" after getting a new tv and called TimeWarner. They had me change a setting on the setup screen of the box and it was fixed in about 5-10 mins.

I didn't...it zoomed in by itself. My son alerted me to it this morning while watching Scooby Doo. The resolution was way off.

I still don't get whether I should be on FIXED or HDMI mode. It seems to look better on FIXED.
