We went on a field trip to Galveston, to the beach today. Played some beach football and I ended up with a HUGE golfball sized blood blister on my right foot and another semi-blood blister on my left foot. I can barely walk from all the pain and it feels the blisters have made me 2 inches taller.

Normally I wouldnt give a **** but this week in football we are doing all of our maxes and 40's. I still have to squat and run my 40's so I need to know of a way to temporarily fix these.

Should I pop them tonight or tomorrow morning(if i should pop them at all)? Any ointments I need? Is there way I can wrap it so I can run on it with moderate pain?

Amputation seems like the safest choice.

I'd recommend not touching it, skip your 40s and maxes, you won't remember what they were in 2 years anyways. Let the blisters pop themselves naturally.

Skipping the 40's and maxes isnt an option for me. Ive worked my ass off for my results and Im not gonna let some freaking blisters hinder me. And im pretty sure Ill remember my results forever.

Okay so ive decided im just going to drain them with a needle and wrap it with something.

Only question I have is should I pop it tonight or in the morning?
I think it will hurt more tonight because its more fresh, but in the morning it will be solidified more so it will hurt less, but I have less time for the skin to recover.

    PICS PLEASE !!!!!!!

but seriously, sounds painful...here's what i did when i was in the Marines:

you already have the blister filled with stuff right (like a bubble !?!??)...take a needle and jab a tiny hole in it...squeeze the sides and let the fluid come out slowly; leave the skin on there though...

go to Walgreens or CVS and get some of that stuff called "moleskin"...place that stuff on it during the day...when you get home take it off and give it as much air as possible (the skin has to harden again and the "skin underneath" will begin to harden also)

Well since you're going to be bragging about your max and 40's for years to come like that guy that no one wants to talk to at the high school reunion...just kidding!

Pop it, like Carlos Nice said, small pricks and slowly drain, sterilize it, don't walk on it unless you have to. Crip walk in school on one foot if you have to. Nuthins gonna happen long as you have Neosporin or something on it.

    My 40 is tommorow.....
My squat I can wait until Friday at least.
What I need to know is should I pop it tonight or tomorrow morning?
And how do I use the moleskin effectively? I need 2 explanations for 2 scenarios, if i pop it tonight or if i pop them tommorow.

Okay I just drained it now. Im wondering if I should tear off the excess skin, or leave it on?

i hope you didn't last night.............

it's always best to leave the skin "on" if you plan on being on your feet the very next day...

if you want it to heal faster but have a couple days to spare, then rip it off...but as mentioned if you rip the skin off you will HAVE TO LET IT VENT for at least a complete day for you to be able to bare the pain of being on it the 2nd day...

based on your scenario i would have left the skin on and just used some moleskin to cover it up temporarily...
