I have read your post three times and still am hazy on what you are asking.

Are you asking how much it costs to sell stock?

I think we are ask to find like

the commission/flotation cost of a stock per share sold?

If a stock was sold for $100 and there was a commission of 5% then it would be sold for $95? if that sounds right or not

but where to you find that value in www.sec.gov

    Is for Finance class

    Code:
    100 Gross proceeds
    - 5 Commission
    --------------------
     95 Net to the Seller

I don't know where to find it at the SEC web site and a brokerage company with that type of commission structure will have difficulty in keeping customers.

Potential customers consider transaction costs, services offered and reputation - buzz - feedback when deciding on a brokerage company. No need to go to the SEC web site when doing that type of research.

Just one of the more recent offerings. On the top page you can see the underwriting discount. for additional fees related to the offering, the table of contents will link you down to page 181.

If you are asking as rudimentary a question as how to find filings, from the website you linked to, click on "Search for Company Filings", then the top link, and you can search by company, or form, or whatever. you'd typically be looking for a Prospectus filing if you want to find a filing related to a securities offering.
