Sopcast will usually have the games since there are Chinese channels who have them on. If you have a 700 kbps connection it should be just good enough to watch. The channels you'll typically be watching are CCTV-5 and Shanghai Sports. Of course the commentary will be in Chinese, and the broadcast will probably be a bit lagged (about 30 seconds-1 minute).

You can find more information here:

    http://www.myp2p.eu/NBA.htm

This is how I've been watching games the last few years.

That would be correct in the DFW area.

You can even have 512 kbps connection speed, it's enough.

Well the comentary is Chinese, but the channels have simply every Rockets' game and they're workin' really great.

I have the same problem! Except I switched to verizon FIOs because they promised me that they were going to carry NBA league pass but for some reason they decided not to. Of course I am pissed. I have not gone with out league pass in manny years. Yes...I'm pissed. So I guess I will be investigating watching via the internet as well.

basically they are all direct broadcasting, so you just need to open your sopcast, and click on the CCTV-5 channel when the game begins. GL!

oh, and in addition to CCTV-5, sometimes other channels like ShangHai GSports, or taiwan weilai sports also broadcast Rockets games too. I'm not sure if sopcast have them, but I have some other similar softwares such as ppmate or ppstream, in case you cannot find the channel, try those instead.

You can't pause the audio, but learning Mandarin might not be a bad idea.

I'm pretty sure that game audio is not free from NBA.com.

Last year, a bunch of people were selling their NBA LP online accounts. I don't know if they will be doing that again this year, but I would like to get one just in case my friends don't decide to get LP.

Why not just switch back to Cable or Satellite??? Actually since they don't carry the league pass package...you might be able to get the games by subscribing to their RSN Sports Pkg..

Last year streamtvnow.tv shown every Rockets game, but it is not free (6.60 monthly). Don't know this year but if yes they are the perfect solution for people like us who doesn't live in Houston area (or in the US like me).
