Heckling Raja Bell and thoughts from the 2nd row (really funny & a good read!)

Well if you were lucky enough to hear me, I heckled the hell out of Raja Bell tonight. Unfortunately, all he did was laugh and make free throws.... ahhhh it was fun though.... giving him **** all night long. I even got his attention at the the end of the game and he gave me a big thumbs up.... Cool enough that he can take it without getting pissed.

Van Chancellor has dandruff. He came down the stairs in the 4th quarter, and although he was a nice enough fellow (I shook his hand), he needed some Head and Shoulders big time. I guess thats what happens when you get old errrrrrr something......

I caught a pair of house slippers! Sure they are cheap and they look vintage 1985, but I dived over a seat, spilled my beer, and kicked my girlfriend in the process. Who cares right??? I'll be wearing those cheapo slippers till the day I die ;)

The Rocket Power Dancers are hot - each and every one of them. Whoever says that they wouldnt jump at the chance to date a RPD needs to be shot.

Everything is big and fast. The players are big and fast and they play hard..... The Rockets looked tired in the 2nd half and obviously coming off a back-2-back game hurts.

I think I got on TV. I wore a white button down shirt, jeans and a red rockets cap with glasses. I was going nuts after Luther Head knocked down that trey in the 2nd quarter and PHX called a time out. Did anyone see me?

Beer is expensive, so just get a little plowed before you go and everything should be fine after that. Treat yourself to 2 $6.50 Miller Lite 16 ouncers and everything should be fine.

    :)

I too was at the Rockets Game, 2nd row... where the Rockets had it in the 2nd half, I was sitting on that side... and OMG, seeing the faces of the Rockets, and the body language, they had no heart, no poise to win, they were like: "Yah, ok, Phoenix... We might win, but no guarantee... Oh Marion??? Here have the rebound, Nash? Hit a three pointer... Phoenix? Just blow us out so we can concentrate on our next game vs. 76ers..."

If anyone saw me, I had the McGrady Jersey on, and I even was on the side that Mr. Hilton was, from Hilton Furniture, and yes, I even got his picture! I was also the one that was beating that drum like crazy!!! I had one guy ask me: "Are you gonna beat that thing all night??? I was like  then he was like: "Its ok if you bang it every so often but not all the time... Its because of that guy (with glasses) that the Rockets Lost! If he minded his own business, I woulda beat that drum like no tomorrow, and we woulda won! (I was beating it a lot in the first quarter!!! LOL) That was like the highlight of the night for me... It coulda been great if the Rockets had WON, but there's not much you can do... :(

I would have beat on that drum even more if he told me that, I hate fans like that.

Les, it's a nice arena with nice amenities but you gave the wine and cheese crowd the perfect haven to hang out in. And they like it nice and subdued in their arena.

I was at the game but no, i didnt have the seats yall did. Pretty good seats still.

Did yall hear me when i screamed "Fire Van Gundy!!" like 15 times. IT was real quiet when i did, but might not have been loud enough, though it felt like it was. I was screaming the whole game.

    Yeah,

Screw those fans that want to actually talk with the person they are sitting with about the game.

They would much rather have a drum beat in their ear all game long....

    No ****......

I actually got "shushed" a few times to which I responded "This isnt a freaking library - sorry if I was being a fan."

The wine and cheese crowd needs to sit in the luxury boxes and suck. Leave the seats to the true fans that cheer.

Damn I miss the Summit in the mid to late 90's........ :(

He wasnt doing it all game long DaDa - just during free throws and on a few defensive stands. It wasnt constant in my live - 10 rows caddy-corner opinion.

I was at the game tonite... and they lost again. Seems like everytime I go they lose. The last win I went to was against the Bobcats. If it wasnt for my mini plan I think I would just stay home and watch. I mean seriously, my last four games have been charlotte, miami, lakers, and tonite.

Don't make me bring up my horror stories about other "fans" complaining about my cheering & drum banging...

Honestly - and nothing personal DD - but if you view attending a Rockets game as some corporate function/social talking event then get the f out.

    Seriously.

We'll always be in the minor leagues as far as fandom goes if we consider yelling & making noise to be unacceptable at a damn home game...

That's what coffee shops are for. Go sip on your latte and indulge yourself in some deep conversation during the game while the rest of us scream our lungs out.

Dude, I enjoy the games, I yell and get excited when appropriate, but I get annoyed at idiots who stand the whole game and make noise just to hear themselves make noise.

It is not a rave party and a competition to see who can be the loudest.

It is a basketball game and if I want to discuss the game with the people that I am attending with, I don't want to have to yell in their ear during timeouts for them to hear me.

    Comprende?

eh, deal with it.. If I have to choose btwn crappy fans who make no noise or the ones you describe above who won't stop cheering, I'll take the latter. I'd love to stand the whole game (aside from timeouts) and make noise the whole game...though sometimes I'll feel bad if I have children really close by or someone directly behind me (but I'm short, so sometimes it's inconsequential).

It's not a rave party, but it is a sporting event where your team needs support. And if half the crowd is soft, that leaves it to us to make up for that half ;)

More than half the time I take my children to the game too, there are time to yell and get excited, and times to sit down and relax.

It is not rocket science to figure out which, some people just like to draw attention to themselves by being obnoxious, call it whatever you want, but it is still annoying.

Look, enjoy the game all you want, but if someone asks you politely to stop banging a drum all the time, you are just as copable, it is not just YOUR experience, it is everyone around you and common decorum dictates that you respect others.

But whatever, enjoy the game however you like, just don't sit by me.

    :D
