The bottom line is he has publicly and privately said that this is where he wants to be," [Heat owner Micky] Arison said before Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. "I believe him. I'm 95 percent sure that he would be here next year. You can never be 100." http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...t=AndTQ..SxCOAnLM_6W83b7S8vLYF?urn=nba,225050 Love this! C'mon Lebron you know you want to stay too. Those NY picks are looking better and better...
I don't know. For the best player to ever come through their organization, top 5 player in the league, and a great player still in his prime; those odds would still make me nervous if I were a Heat fan.
The Heat HAVE to get another star caliber player or no shot at Wade resigning. When Michael Beasley is your 2nd best player your in trouble. That being said they really screwed up by not getting Amare or Boozer. Pairing either one of those with Wade is an easy 50+ Wins in the Eastern Conference. I don't care who you had to give up to get Amare/Boozer. Nobody on that Roster should be set in stone except for Dwayne Wade himself.
C'Mon yall actually believe this garbage? Wade is pretty much outta there! He's gonna go to Chicago and play for the hometown team! The 2010-2011 Chicago Bulls starting lineup: Rose Wade Deng??? Gibson Noah
Garbage? That bulls team is mediocre, simply adding Wade does not make them a contender over other teams in the East. In my opinion Wades best chance is to stay in Miami. One way or another that team is going to get another star player to pair with him.
I think if they get Amar'e, and that is where he wants to play, then Wade is staying put although if he does leave Chicago is the destination.
That would be a shame if this backfired on the owner. I think it's bad to make promises like that, with or without the wording. Owners shouldn't imply something that has limited probability. If it's not coming from Wade, I don't believe it. Recall Carlos Boozer and the Cavs/Jazz backfire. Wade could do the same thing and take more money somewhere else. Or...he could be a standup citizen and sign with the Rockets for less.
How the hell does he know??, plus he is not gonna say he'll be traded next year. If they miss the playoffs which is most likely I think he is %95 out.
Translation: "We are not doing a sign and trade for Wade and we are confident that he is greedy enough not to walk away and lose $30 million so don't bother asking about him this summer."
Well, unlike LeBron's situation, the Heat don't have anything to prove to Wade because they've already got him a ring. On the hand, Wade's has zero (consistent) support. They have absolutely no one around him besides an old guy past his prime and a young gun that still has much developing to do.
Nothing is certain until the summer is over. For an owner to say something like this preemptively is stupid because it may just flop back on his face. Why would Miami be more likely to win the championship next year than this year? Have they significantly upgraded themselves through the trading deadline? If Wade is serious about winning a championship. He'll go somewhere else.
the only way he'll stay is if miami signs a max player. if not, he's going to chicago to play with another franchise player in rose.
Yup, I think the Heat go after Amare this summer to get Wade to stay. If they fail, I agree with you, he's going back home to Chicago.
