Because of DWade being limited http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/230977/Heat-Looking-To-Trade-For-Guard-With-Wade-Limited Heat Looking To Trade For Guard With Wade Limited Dec 06, 2013 12:04 PM EST The Miami Heat are in trade discussion as they search for backcourt depth with Dwyane Wade playing on a limited basis. Wade missed his fifth game of the season on Thursday. The Heat routinely started Mike Miller in the absence of Wade last season, but they used their amnesty provision upon him to save approximately $17 million in taxes. Via Brian Windhorst/ESPN Asik and Lin for Bosh? Id do it...
they've needed help on the boards ever since that big 3 came together and yet they still reached 3 straight finals. they're stupid for wanting more guard depth but they've won 2 finals already so what do we know lol
I don't understand why the heat want help for wade. It's only going to take 50 wins to get the 2 seed in the east so post all star break LBJ, wade, bosh should all just rest and the scrubs that are left could be competitive against the rest of the east. And really what quality is Joel Anthony going to get you in a trade? @basketballtalk: Report: Heat shopping Joel Anthony, seeking depth behind Wade http://t.co/fKNmBJQE8A
Do it! Do it! Just to ruin the heat forums! I would create an account on their forums just to be entertained!!!!!!
Folks the Heat arent looking for high priced players like Asik & Lin when its going to cost them Bosh. So just stop the dreaming. This is obviously about moving a smaller piece like Anthony or Jones for a cheap veteran. They are going to have a tough time finding this player. They are going to have to take on salary to get a deal done most likely as well. targets are probably - Randy Foye, Alexi Shved, Jimmer, Jordan Crawford, Marshon Brooks, Willie Green, Bayless, etc. They aren't looking to shake up their entire roster I'm sure. Just looks like they are trying to get some more perimeter scoring when Wade sits.
offense isn't focused on the PG - if anything they need a rebounding/scoring big. Chalmers and Cole are fine for their team, roleplayers
They want Wade well rested for playoffs and not to play him so much. So they want a guard to fill-in for insurance. Better safe than sorry.
They don't need to trade to rest him, they have enough people on their squad who can fill in for him when it's only gonna take 50 wins for the 2 seed. Unless they can land a solid vet this is gonna be a terrible deal
Actually this trade makes sense for both team. Heats desperately needs a true center who can rebound and Lin can play both SG and PG. Maybe throw in T. Jones to sweeten the deal?
They're trying to make a deal around Joel Anthony? Nobody wants that guy though... Perhaps trade to Memphis for Franklin or Calathes? Maybe the Knicks for Chris Smith or Murry? Washington trades Temple? Toronto trades Buycks or Stone? Such a small move...
Brooks has been playing so well recently; and so why not trade Bev for a backup center (now that Asik will be gone)?
Brooks plays no defense.. our defense already sucks.. Bev is our best defender at PG.. horrible trade.. Lin and Brooks are interchangeable
Dumbest trade ever. You guarantee the Heat 3 more championships while taking away our youth. Bosh is 29 and Howard is 27. LeBron and Howard would dominate the league for the next 5 years. Howard/Andersen/Oden LeBron/Lewis/Haslem Wade/Beasley Allen/Chalmers Beverly/Cole How old are you, and why would the Heat do it?
