It rocks. Including the hits songs Back in the Days of Shock and Awe and Impeach the President http://www.hyfntrak.com/neilyoung2/AFF23358/
Good stuff from Neil Young, one of his best I think...I'm probably going to buy the album after hearing this...Thanks.
Thanks for the link. I thought it was pretty good but not on par as the stuff he was doing with Crazy Horse in the early 90's. A lot of the material didn't seem as edgy or hard as "Rockin in the Free World" but still good to hear Neil break out the fuzz pedal.
draft dodgers and armageddon's coming we're finally on our own this summer i hear glynch strumming time to go...to mex-i-co. although i haven't heard the new album yet, Neil always was at his best with political material.
Poor Hayes, it was supposed to be such a nice war this time. Oh well, I guess he'll blame it on the liberal press..
I wouldn't take Sishir's word for it. The album rocks. Given the times, I would say that it is an incredible accomplishment. It rocks; it is tender; it is angry; it is patriotic; it is very American and it works.
We know you've always got a special place in your heart for Canadians, glynch. But this probably should be in the Hangout, since there isn't anything to debate.
neil young is an inspiration and a motivation. plus eddie vedder loves him so thats good enough for me (by the way im loving the new Pearl Jam)
