    Ming Dynasty= NBA Championship

In only his rookie year, Ming along with Francis and Mobley lead the Rockets past the (insert eastern confrence team) in 5 games to win the NBA Finals. But the real test came in the Western Confrence Final where the Rockets eliminated 3 time champion Lakers. With Ming stepping up the D on Shaq the Lakers could not overcome other Rockets like Mobely, Francis, and Griffin. Down 3 games to 2 Ming carried the Rockets in game six then turned in the best performance of his young carrer including 38 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks to eliminate the Lakers in their home court. Truly the NBA has become the Ming Dynasty.

Let's relegate that to, say, 2007.

What's wrong with the sig. Duncan is the second coming of Olajuwon. He has the same physical build, same range, while lacking the offensive moves that Olajuwon had Duncan gets the job done. He also gets boards like Hakeem and while he dosen't block shots as well as Olajuwon he holds his own in that department. Besides he is the best big man (gorrilas in the paint lie Shaq don't count) in the leauge.

Wow --- 2007? --- I sure hope it happens before then. I at least hope we give some of the west elite teams a run for their money. I think we can challenge for the title well before 2007.

It's not wrong by itself, brother.

What I meant was the whole headline was about Ming and how great he is in the Championship games and I was getting high reading it. And then suddenly I read your signature, it's got nothing to do with Ming and actually it praises someone else. Too sharp a turn for my dumb brain. :D

Never thought of that, too optimistic.
I'll be delighted to see that happens before his rookie contract expires though.:p

I hope it happens, but even I'm not that optomistic. I think that the Rockets will be in the playoffs and I even think they'll get to the second round, but defeating LA? As much as I would LOVE to see Shaq and Kobe fall, we might have to wait a few years before Ming & Co. bring down the Lake Show.

Duncan will never be the next Hakeem! He is too slow and methodical. Hakeem was fast and played from the heart! Hakeem was lythe and athletic, Duncan is neither. Duncan is a coached player, Hakeem was a natural with the movement of a snake.

LA .....I give them two more( if Shaq is OK). Then when Shaq is 400lbs and smoking Cigars and up on his Chase Lounge, wondering about his investments, admiring his trophies, enjoying all the good things he had avoided for such a long time,we hit hard. In the 2005 Championships our young team will have been playing together for three Seasons and it will be their third Playoffs. In 02/03 we went two rounds. In 03/04 we played in the Western Conference Final. In 04/05 we go to the Trophy Room with our winners Trophy! After this win Yao Ming insists that we keep the big FIVE together even though it means more tax for Les. He doesn't mind because of all the extra revenue that Yao Mig and the Rox have brought into the coffers!
After the 04/05 season Shaq played only one more season with LA making his 'Retirement Tour'.

Duncan is not the next Olajuwon. Duncan is the next Duncan.
He's a champ, MVP and has many more years to grow as a player.

As far as Duncan's *style*...well, he reminds me more of Kevin McCale
than Olajuwon. But, just because I say that doesn't mean that
    he's the next McCale...

End the end, let his play define who he becomes. 15 years from now
do you think the press will be calling Ducan the next Olajuwon? Hopefully
they will refering to him as the "Great Tim Ducan."

Poor Duncan...... First his chances of getting his second ring were spoiled by Shaq. After Shaq, it'll be our turn to win eating up championships like a walk in the park..... Woe is Duncan's fate...

    That's McHale.

Anyway, the Rockets will be the Cinderella team this year and win it all by next season if they don't do it in 2002 - 2003. And there you have, sports fans. This team -- as it stands -- is a two-thumbs up.

Better happens AFTER they sign the 7-year extension at the end of his rookie contract, so we don't have to pay so much money (half of Ming's salary) to the CBA or whoever there.

Well Mingis a unique player and should be VERY be good, but Duncan is a unique player as well, I dont think you can class him with Dream, cause he is his own man!
