I was just wondering...why is it that the Texans game is in the crappy 4:3 format of HD while the Cowboys game is in full HD that looks 10 times better than the Texans game.....i have noticed that every week.
FOX and CBS choose a set amount of games to broadcast in HD. I think CBS does 6 games a week. The Texans lack the cache to be one of those 6. The Cowboys are allegedly America's Team, so they get it more. Luckily, FOX is showing the Bucs vs. Seahawks game in HDTV, so I'm watching that instead of the Cowboys. Bill P. in HD... not a pretty sight.
Thanks for clearing it up...just sucks when you see the quality of the picture on fox and cbs right now and only wish to see your own team like that....hopefully we can see some rockets games like that soon... Not like anyone wants to see Davis fumble 2 times a game in HD anyways..
Tell me about it. I'm sitting in my living room watching the Seahawks in HDTV and all I can think is how crappy the signal was for the Lions game. The CBS audio feed for that game was very "static-y" for me. This is much, much better, especially with surround sound.
The Chron already said that the Houston game would not be in HD, thus the reason for the crappy quality. The Cowboys game was the NATIONAL game of the week, meaning it was seen in pretty much every household who's team had a noon game. Question for other HD users... do most HDTV's automatically adjust the aspect ration to "compensate" for games that are not in HD, or do you have to manually configure that whenever the situation arises.
