I need to get a new HDMI cable for my TV anyone have any preferences on AWG? 24, 28 26? Also what is the difference with 1.3 as opposed to normal? I will be going through Monoprice and I need it to be 6foot. and It will either be hooking up my PS3 or my Dish receiver (I only had one cable when the dish guy came to install so I took the PS3 one and switched it to the receiver)

Bumping this... Does anyone know which site currently has the lowest price on HDMI cables? I just realized I have been using component cables on my box, I doubt the PQ will improve much, may even get worse. But I want to try and see. The sound will def improve since I don't have optic cable inputs.

I notice that the picture is slightly sharper with HDMI, I have a Sony TV with a Time Warner/Scientific Atlanta Box.
Funny you say that. I didn't even think about using HDMI until I brought my PS3 cable to a friends house during my power outage. He had an HD box but no HD cables (go figure), hes not tech savvy. I did notice the PQ improvement, he has the TV I once did, and that you own. Sony Grand Wega. Not sure if it will be noticeable with my Sammy plasma.

Okay, believe it or not... The HDMI does not look as good as component on my Samsung. I think it has to do with the type of cable box I have. The PS3 looks fantastic. With this Samsung model you get a few extra picture settings that can really fine tune your quality, thats a primary reason I wanted to go HDMI. Oh well, just doesn't look as crisp or punchy. And you get some weird anomalies.
