HD TV/Cable Box Trouble

    For some reason, my HDMI doesn't work anymore. I have a cable box plugged into one of the HDMI ports and it just shows up as purple lines. I then plugged it into the 2nd HDMI port and the same thing happens.

    Is this a problem with my cable box or HDMI cable?

    Reset your cable box and see if that works. This has happen to my U-verse box before. I just did a reset and it worked fine afterward.

    reset the box by unplugging it and plugging it back in.

    hdmi handshaking is goofy sometimes.

    Yep reset should do the trick. IF it doesn't, try grabbing a conventional A/V cable and using another input on your TV. Could also be a bad box.

    Resetting it solved the problem, I've had to reset it a couple times before but have never seen the purple lines.
