I imagine most of them will feel gay women = seksy, while gay men = zOMG gross. Its all about how it vicerally makes you feel inside. When they see lesbians they think "thressome", while gay men make them feel things they've tried very hard to repress.
You obviously never played practice volleyball with or against the girls' team in HS. I'm not sure you played stuff against men, either. No kink-shame, I know things are different in College Station.
I was a HOOPER. STILL am (but suck now). I played against TAMU girls BB plenty. FB too. Never played against the HS VB team, I woulda been horny af at that age, those girls were hot.
I'm finally getting around to watching the show after finishing up others. I can see why this third episode was so polarizing and I'd agree that some of the criticisms are valid. There are good points that Bill's character growth is meant to parallel Joel (I never played the games so I don't know the overall plot). But this episode ran longer than the first two that were able to move the main plot much further. I was finding myself getting bored at times in the episode and I think they should have cut this episode down by 15 minutes. The show is The Last of Us, not This Is Us.
One thing that still bothers me, the 1 minute clip of raiders attacking the compound, why would Bill be shooting at them in open air without any cover? Makes no sense for a character so well prepared for anything, very much out of character. It's such poorly written episode that has nothing to do with the main story and doesn't know its characters well.
I mumbled the same thing. I figured that he was just being too friendly. "Hey...how you'll doing? Bang bang bang!"
Lol who is complaining about spoilers? The point of these threads is to discuss what was shown. This points out that Ellie is far too belligerent/confident/streetwise and Joel too timid given their ages and life experiences.
Avoided this thread until I watched all three episodes (finished today). As a hopelessly heterosexual old man, I found the third episode fairly unsettling and definitely not necessary to the story of a zombie series. It seemed like it was designed especially to provoke people of my ilk. Not just a gay storyline, but gay with two burly, hairy, bearded older guys. Not sure why those details matter to me, but all I know is that they do. Can’t explain it….it’s just how I feel. BUT…..despite my uncomfortableness, I have to admit that the episode was REALLY well done. And the acting was stellar. Kudos to all involved. Especially Ron Swanson. I don’t think the show needed this episode…..but heteros of a certain age, raised in a certain environment (like myself) probably do need the episode.
The main risk of spoilers is people openly talking about what happens later in the games. There's some huge stuff there that viewers unfamiliar with the story would probably like to avoid. It's akin to people who read the GoT books knowing about the red wedding and keeping their mouths shut so that viewers could fully experience it when it happened.
