I have high confidence this will be better than HOTD and strengthen Villeneuva Dune Part 1 and Part 2 movies.

Will watch. However, think that they are overestimating interest. They do need something to support the films and tighten some screws, but I just don't think the mainstream audience cares enough to see this, let alone Dune II. It was good eye candy, they got people to see it, and vastly improved on the original, but think they missed on hooking the big mainstream target.

Seriously? Is this based on one of the post-Frank Herbert novels that I missed? A couple were worth missing.

Thanks. A mixed bag, in my opinion. I have a lot to read on my plate (a large plate, obviously, teetering on a bookshelf) and am leaning towards waiting to watch the series rather that downloading the novel to my e-reader and plowing through it. Have you, or anyone else, read it?

They're all boxes of pain in the end.

You made to a couple? It only took me one Brian Herbert book.

Even after the first three Frank Herbert Dune books, Frank's work gets spotty ... like his heart was not in it.

I see what you did. It’s clever but not true.

This is going to change things though.

It was a movie based on half of one book, they should have filmed both halves at the same time and released them closer together.

that explains it. why in the boobs did they do that? it should have bombed at the box office so we’d have a random movie out there based on half a book.

It probably would have been a 5 hour movie to do it properly and that scared the studio.

They didn't even let Harry Potter get away with that so they were never going to take the risk on Dune
