[HBO] Real Time with Bill Maher interupted by audience

    Did anyone see this last night? Real Time was interupted about 20 minutes in by noisy audience members. Maher jumps off the set and goes into the audience to kick out them out. They are protesting his comments about WTC conspiracies being BS. He finally gets the show back on track, but at the end, as the credits are rolling you could almost see the steam coming out of his ears...

    I'm divided. Those people are idiots, yet I can't stand Maher. I don't know who to root for.

    They should be protesting Sheila Jackson Lee's hair, which has been that way for as long as I can remember.

    WTF. Maher needs to fire his security immediately. They didn't do crap until he actually had to stop the show and start moving towards the crowd.

    Good strategy by the 'protesters' to stagger their yelling though. That way they could interrupt the show for a long period rather then all of them getting thrown out at once.

    And Sheila Jackson Lee is correct, NIH/CDC etc. funding has been pretty bad since the war.

    I DVR'd Maher's show from last night. Now I'll have to be sure to watch it. Agree that his security should be looking for work. No job security for them!

    On September 14, Maher joked about the "9/11 Truthers" who had been trying to get him to talk about the subject on his show.

    It was a really good show prior to the interuption. John Edwards sat down for a very good talk, and Garry Kasparov had an incredible interview about his bid for the Russian presidency.

    "This is the problem with live television....."

    I usually don't agree with Maher but i'll applaud him for using common sense in implying that the 9/11 conspiracy theories are all bogus.

    Glad I have that to look forward to. His show is a bit uneven, like these kinds of shows typically are. You can get one where everything clicks and it's off the charts, then one where the guests end up all having a bad day, the jokes don't go over well, and you wish something like this wacko interruption would occur.

    How has Sheila Jackson Lee not been fired yet? She is an absolute r****d.

    The comment Maher made referring to cows was funny though, in regards to the hecklers.

    Bill Maher's audience has been nutz for a very long time now. Last night was the first time they weren't nutz in a civil manner.

    I still don't know why I tune into his show(except for New Rules which are usually great). Last week showed how great Real Time can be because he had a balanced panel which led to a great discussion. But last night there wasn't a single conservative or right-wing panelist which essentially turned the show into another hour of "Bush is the anti-Christ".
