Howdy all. Umm, I guess I'm the new GM of the Orioles. I take over this last place team and want to find ways to make it better. So I would like to announce that my entire team is up for trade. No player is untouchable. Now let me next say that I am not an idiot. Please don't bother with stupid trade ideas as it would waste my time and yours.

But if there is a specific player on my team you want, could you list him and an idea of what you would offer? I just want to try and get a general feeling for what I have to work with.

    Thanks,
    dylan

ps make sure you state what team you have since I have no clue who owns what teams for the most part...

I'm the Dodgers; for Mike Fontenot, I would give you Joe Thurston (a comparable 2B prospect, who can also play SS with A range, but he has a slightly lower hitting ceiling than Fontenot) and a pitcher like Maximo Regalado, a closer prospect with Brilliant strikeout potential. If you want somebody other than Regalado, let me know; I was thinking a decent bullpen prospect in addition to Thurston for Fontenot.

(edit) I also like Emmett Schroer. If we were to include him in a Fontenot deal, I'd be willing to upgrade the quality of the prospect pitcher involved or make it one who's already succeeding on the major league level, if you're trying for a "win as soon as possible" approach. I'd also give you my current C prospect, Jeff Mathis, who like Thurston has a slightly lower ceiling than your guy, but better defense. We could also discuss Jorge Posada (my C - .286/26 homers/117 RBI this past year), if you wished.

I'm also interested in Juan Figueroa, but I'm not sure what you'd want for him, so let me know, if you want.

    Thanks a lot!
