No, but I've visited someone. :p

actually, many peeps... c'mon, man... are you serious...? I mean, I'm Mexican... of course I have... and... well, never mind... :(

A good friend would bail you out of jail.
A TRUE friend would be in jail with you saying: "Damn, we f~cked up, man! :D"

At a previous job, we had to do two installations at prisons. One at a medium-security unit in Stringtown, Oklahoma, and another at the Wynn Unit (maximum security) in Huntsville, TX.

Would a jail do, or does it have to be prison? In either case, I'm a little embarassed to say, no, I haven't.

I use to xray people in prison when I was a mobile xray tech for about a year. It was weird, but besides a few incidents(that didn't involve me) I thought they were pretty normal folks. The whole having to be buzzed in and having the security doors slammed behind me was kind of funny feeling, but I thought it was kind of cool that I was able to go into the actual prison...something that very few people that aren't criminals got to do. :D

An idiot friend of mine drove to California via El Paso and was caught at the checkpoint area for being...... an illegal immigrant.

why would he take that route if he doesn't have papers? well i said it he's an idiot.

So he called me to claim his car that he borrowed from his girlfriend. The car was impounded as well. So I had to drive there with his gf for 12 hours one way. There was a good pounding as well as we had to rest in a hotel for the night :).

I amost forgot to answer the question, yes we visited him and tht was the last time I saw him because he wes deported to his country.

Not a very bad experience. :)

No and not because i've never known anyone in prison.

Let them think about what they've done wrong...that is, if they've done something wrong.

yes...funny story...i've visited my 1st girlfriend/1st love in prison. this was after we broke up but were still friends. anyhow, she got busted again for drug possession and went to prison. it sucked waiting out in line to see her the first time only to get denied entry because i wasn't wearing pants. i ended up having to go into town to buy some crappy slacks so i could get in.

long story made short....she ended up getting busted again a few years later and we basically stopped talking after that because i had to give up on saving her. then a couple years after that i got a call from my mom saying that she got arrested for attempted capital murder on a cop. the video is somewhere online but i don't feel like digging thru the internet to find it. she ended up getting 2 life sentences for it. c'est la vie.

yes. done some ministry work in prisons. the moral of the story is...don't do something that gets you locked up in prison. not a place you want to spend your days...but there are people there in big time need of hope; and some amazing stories of redemption.

You seem wayy too level-headed and intelligent to have ever been involved with that.

Conjugal visit? Even then, I think I would generally recommend wearing pants to a prison... or really anywhere outside your home.

My sister's first husband. He was at a federal prison in Forrest City, Arkansas for counterfeiting. He spent 2.5 years there. I only visited him once and luckily, she eventually divorced him.
