In the past two games (Utah and Portland), I have seen arguably two of the worst calls I have ever seen, both of them going against Yao. First, the 'foul' against Yao when he set the screen and picked up foul #3 before halftime. That was ridiculous. But tonight, that flop that Pryzbilla did, he actually started his flop BEFORE Yao even made his move! And the ref still called it against Yao! WTF is going on? Are the refs on crack this year? Has anyone compiled those two plays into one video? I would love to be able to have that floating around as a shot little 'Video O' Injustice' against Yao.. maybe some pressure eventually makes its way to the league and down to the refs to remember who the golden goose is these days.. His name is Yao.
NBA officiating has always been bad. There's nothing new. Yao has gotten a lot worse calls than this. Blame dictator stern for changing the stupid rules.
I agree with you. I can't believe the refs empower guys like Priscilla, D. Harris, M. Ginobili, etc to flop all over the place. What about the LA game where Yao handed off the ball to a guard and the defender ran right into a motionless Yao. I mean what the hell. Yao is not allowed to occupy that space
I think it's time for David Stern to implement foul on flopper. They should do it like soccer!! It's just stupid to see these damm blind refs getting fool by floppers and it's pretty obvious flop too. I mean you should be a man and play like a man instead of cheating to win game...it's just a disgrace to the game.
I can't for the life of me understand how basketball officials at the highest level of the game can blow such blatant calls. It's completely baffling sometimes. I get that basketball is one of the harder sports to call cause the action is so fast. But what I don't get and what I find completely unacceptable is how time and again the refs state that they will not tolerate flopping anymore yet they still call the most obvious dives ever to grace the court; or that Yao does exactly what the refs tell him to do to avoid the foul yet still gets called.
The worse basketball call I saw was Finley stealing the ball from Jon Barry while he was out of bounds.
What irked me was the Yao charging call was actually tripping by Przybilla and Yao could have gotten hurt. To answer the question: Most of us have seen much worse calls. Not even close.
you can't get the fair call for big guy like yao and shaq, if they do, shaq could get make 5 or 6 player foul out
