Well? Have you? I've been tempted to on a couple occasions but either decided it wasn't bad enough to report or assumed someone else would do it. I guess I'm too chicken to tattle.
I never have, mostly because I've never had any reason to. A week or so ago, I got into an "argument" with Fatty FatBastard over the most enticing part of a woman's body. He started calling names, and I guess he got in trouble for it. I didn't report his post, so I guess either someone else did, or a mod saw it on their own. That's about the only hostility I've ever encountered on this board.
Yeah they are good at flaming each other and newbies until the point that they hide under a rock and really think twice about posting crap and repeats.....and the big master lock comes out to enforce with a vengence.
I don't think I take what people say on a message board personally enough to bother doing that.. not that I don't take people's opinions seriously, but if someone is being an ass, I just ignore them- problem solved. This is also why I have never explored use of the ignore function. I think even if someone tried to personally insult me for no reason, I'm not sure I'd care enough. what exactly would constitute a reportable offense to anybody who has done so? I'm curious to see. I guess maybe a violation of the TOS, but I don't really see it as my place to enforce that.
I did once when someone posted a link to p*rn. Not like I objected personally, but I just wanted to see what reporting a post to a moderator was like.
i never have but i have a feeling that someone reported one of my posts (in D&D) but maybe i'm just paranoid
only time i did was when that guy was talking about suicide...wanted to make sure they knew about this cause i could smell lawsuit
Once or twice, can't remember specifically what for, maybe trying to get two threads merged or something. Never used the ignore list, though I have been tempted several times.
