don't know if this is the place to post a thread like this. if not, please move it to the right place or simply del it. Thx. just wondering how athletic the majority of clutch fans are. Start from myself i'm 5'11, Chinese. Dunked once back in high school(14 years ago) on a game againsted our division leader. I stole the ball from their guard in the mid court, then ran straight to the rim like a mad bull with fire on its tail. I was so nervous that my lay up would get block coz the dude who i stole the ball from was way bigger than me. So i jumped so hard that i could break my leg there, and the next thing i know, i slamed the rock in the rim! i didn't plan to dunk, but it was all nature reaction. my team lost the game by 12, but i would always remeber that dunk coz it is the only dunk that i've performed on a rim that is not bent down what about u guys?
I could dunk a tennis ball occasionally. One game I had an open path and I must have jumped just right... anyway, my hand was above the rim and I could have slammed, but I didn't know I'd be that high so I went through with the layup. Biggest regret of my life. And I've flubbed it with a lot of women.
Everyday. It's an even easier way to pick up girls than walking your dog. Trust me. TMAC640, are you listening?
to a small guy like me who can occationally jump just high enough to dunk, the hardest part is to hold the ball right, meaning not focusing too much to the ball on the way up, and being able to use my wrist to slam it in. i have hands of a 5'11, so i have problem slamming the ball.
unlike rimrocker's "dunk a tennis ball occasionally", I dunk badminton nearly everyday. The basket is too high for me. I personally never try to dunk basketball, and don't think I will in future unless ... lord bring me two spring legs I practise bball every weekend though, love doing some one-handed driving layup shots, then shoot from FT line to perimeter around on the basketball court near my home. The concierge there is my friend, so I can play basketball there for free. I honestly say many playmates cannot defeat me on FT line, it's FUN!
Aat 6'7 dunking isn't that difficult. So I dunk regularly. However nowadays i prefer not to dunk, It takes some energy (and stamina is not my strong point) so if i have an open lane to the basket I prefer to just make a lay up.
I can't dunk or drive well... but find me on the outside and watch me light up any defense. Shooting and passing are my strong points when playing. I am 6 foot but was never able to dunk.
I am sure most people here knows what a slam dunk is sheik-lashi. No need to post the definition of it.
Once. I'm 6'3", yet only mildly athletic. I spent a few hours one afternoon while in college at SFA throwing my self oops off of the bounce. When it seemed that no one was around to see, I finally got one after about 30 attempts. Two feet two hands. It was exhilirating.
the way i go in with the ball looks realll nice...looks like i am lebron bout to dunk that ho...but than i realize..i am 5'6 with no hops
I've dunked a volleyball. When I was younger, the biggest problem was I can't palm a basketball. If my hands were just a tad bigger, I would have been able to dunk a basketball.
Being 6'3" and a high jumper from my track days, I could dunk quite easily. I had a variety of dunks. 20 years and 50 extra pounds later, I can still grab the rim, but I can no longer dunk.
When in high school, I was around 5'7" and I could grab the rim easily, but my hands were too small to palm a basketball, so the ball always slipped out. However, I could with something small. 13 years later, 3 more inches taller and about 80 lbs later, I probably couldn't touch the bottom of the net.
