Sorry another knee jerk thread. My emo brain is killing me. I know it is stupid to say should of, could of, would of, and but but, imo this 3 team trade alone takes us a step back. Giving up Landry has stripped a big chunk of what this team was all about. Grit and Hustle. The inital trade of tmac to NY was pretty decent. I believe we would have been better off pulling that trade alone. imo this deal(3 team trade) would have improved our team significantly/immediately if only the Amare trade went down along with the kevMart trade. Amare would have upgraded our presence down low which we currently have none of. The current PFs we have are too inconsistent/not strong enough. That's what made Landry the LandLord. This team has taken a huge step back. imo.
i'd wait to see how this team will perform at full strength. morey didn't build this team for RIGHT NOW but for the future. patience people
I agree with you in principle. T-Fierce should have never been let go. He never got his chance this year. He is a really good player who can score 26 pts, K-sheeettty is a 3/16 loser. He is weak too. ----------------------------------------------------- START THIS CHANT AT THE NEXT GAME: BRING BACK MAC BRING BACK MAC BRING BACK MAC
Then you should have not pressed Submit. I understand your "feelings" but this will only cause ridiculous responses you won't like. Good Luck.
So you think with the loss of Landry that this team has no heart? we lost one game after a trade where only one player from the trade even played. Did you see that the Cavs lost to the BobCats? Are they gonna waive Jamison? Is Lebron going to quit? knee jerk
Wow, some people just don't have patience. Seriously, it was Kevin's FIRST game with the team - plus, I think you forgot to mention his 9 FTA's, 3 steals, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. He absolutely STUFFED the stat sheet tonight, despite shooting a poor percentage. It's unavoidably obvious that his presence on the team is already helpful; he commands so much defensive attention that it created space for his teammates to shoot, and when he caught the ball off a screen, he typically made it result in something (courtesy of the trips to the line). This is just misguided - Amar'e is a self-interested guy who A) probably wouldn't have fit in with Yao, B) clogs the lane, which significantly lowers the value of a player like Martin (who goes to the rack a lot), C) is a horrible rebounder given his abilities, D) is a worse defender than Scola, and E) doesn't have the same post moves. Andersen, I'll concede, isn't strong. The definition of Hayes and Scola are strong players. On top of that, the team hasn't practiced with the new pieces, making the other big bodies we acquired useless in this particular game because they would've been clueless as to where to be on the offensive end. We have lost one game without Landry, but we also lost 20-something with him playing big minutes; let this thing play out before you pollute these threads with your misguided musings.
As mentioned above... A significant amount. Should we waive KevMartin? no. I'm saying the Rockets lost a gritty piece that would have been vital piece in the Playoffs next year. The tmac to NY deal would have been enough to net us a excellent player during free agency without losing Landry.
0-12. It happens. Now suck it up and wait several games at least. Clyde himself said it takes 15 games or so after a trade to get acclimated, he should know....bullard as well.
