On another thread Doctor Robert posted this:

"JVG has finally completed the transformation of the Houston Rockets into the Houston Knicks. First it was the coaching staff. Then came the defense. Then the players. Then the offense.

    Now we have their fans.
    Bitter, booing fans."

    It makes sense to me.

I wish I could find out how all the players felt..and the coaches..and the management..

We can win the next 9 games..but we need some shooting and rebounding.

We all know how Barkley and Kenny Smith feel . . . . not that THAT matters.

It just seems that JVG sucks the life out of this team.

For those of us who have not watched them, how do they feel?

Also, it probably does matter what they are saying, because the rest of the league is probably saying it too, and that means that Les knows.

Short version, the offense needs to be opened up, otherwise the Rockets will never be better than average.

To answer the thread: Yes. This team has more memories of losing the 1994 NBA finals than winning it.

Who can make a shot on the Rockets except for layups and dunks? Noone. There is a fundamental flaw with how the Rockets are training their players.

    Hmm, lets see:

    He brought in:
    Mark Jackson
    Clarence Weatherspoon
    Charles Oakley
    Charlie Ward
    Patrick Ewing

It's like he tried to get all the guys back together for one last shot, its almost funny. Has anyone seen that commercial where all the superheroes are old and wrinkled, and using walkers.

Les has basically thrown out every aspect of Houston Rockets tradition, and have brought in the Knicks. It really sucks.

Yeah, it does. Nice sig. Phil Jackson would really restore that Houston Rockets tradition. After all, it's always worked out great for us to pick up the available big name coach of the day. Not.

Give me Del Harris or some other cypher at half the money and twice the results. We need a guy who's here to serve the players -- not the other way around. If we're gonna spend Phil Jackson money, let's spend it busting the cap on players instead of on egotistic cult of personality coaches.

No, they're many reasons, but I'll just give you one. The Knicks had slashers on their team and also a pure shooter in Alan Houston.

Yeah, cause McGrady can't slash or shoot. Or can he....?

Allan Houston was a great shooter, he can bury you alive with jumper all night long if he gets a little bit of daylight. We don't have anyone like that.

Rebouding PF and a great shooter, two things we despearately need. Preferrably a 3 pt shooter too.

You would think JVG would want to try knew players and build from scratch, but for some reason he has to bring the NYC and their mama like changing uniforms is going to turn back time and make them play better.

I thought peeps from the east coast especially NY were B-ballers and strong feel for the game. I guess not.

Down south we run on our courts and not walk the ball up.

somone must want some PF's and a first rounder for just a shooter.

what shooters are available that are good enough to start or at least play 18-24 minutes? and i think it has to be a SF. we need sura's rebounding, and obviously tmac needs to start.

Hey, I'd take Del Harris or Donnie Nelson in a second over JVG.

I'm not saying Phil Jackson would restore the tradition, but he would be able to start a new one. He wouldn't try to remake the old Bulls or Lakers team.

He made the Bulls into a dynasty, and made the Lakers their own dynasty, there is no reason why he couldn't do it with the Rockets.
