With the cost of fuel continually going up, has anybody changed their living habits in any way?
Personally, I bought a small used car, and parked my truck in the driveway, to be used only when I need to tow and haul. I went from averaging 17 mpg, to 32mpg, which is a big help since I drive 90 miles per day to and from work.
Additionally, I have owned a small motorcycle for some time, but haven't really desired to ride it anymore, until recently. I can get 65 mpg out of it.

Now, to throw a conspiracy theory into the mix..........what if the powers that be, INTENDED to force people to drive less, use less electricity, etc, in order to get the mindset on the GREEN train. Hybrid cars are actually desired. Alternative fuel is getting attention. Less driving is holy, and fat people are still bad. Now, I'm not saying I believe in the conspiracy theory, but the global warming mantra and the high fuel costs do seem to be rising side by side. ;)

Speaking of, I plan on making my own biodiesel soon. The future may or may not be biodiesel, but it's viable at the moment. I still think hydrogen power is where it's going to end up.

Since the American people have shone they CAN and WILL pay over $3.50 per gallon . .. will a little BAM-ing . . but they will bend over and take it

I suspect it will never go below that mark again

no matter if oil became overly abundant or not
because the demand says they will pay $3.50+

Do you think Gas will ever fall below $3.50 again?

    I do Not

It has changed me. I have become increasingly bitter. ;)

I actually am getting tired of being amongst the scores of people playing a game that appears to be rigged.

It is something that we need though, it's like water in a way. I mean it could go way beyond $3.50 and we probably would still pay it because we have to.

What we need is a fresh face in politics to just put forth an ingenious argument to convince China and India to quit using energy. Then we'll be back at $1.50/gallon for gas. Problem solved, it's THAT EASY!! Don't believe me, just ask any Obama supporter.

Actually, big business will solve all of our problems as it always does. Just ask any right wing conservative.

Well, capitalism has been the most successful economic system in the HISTORY OF THE EARTH. Kinda hard to argue with that, really... but go ahead anyway...

Unbridled capitalism seems to cause problems as well. Thats if you notice countries with highest quality of living tend to have some socialist policies as well. No one system is perfect. High Oil gas prices aren't good for this country.

Just out of curiosity, which economic system do you believe will stop China and India's demand for energy, OR will lead to higher oil & natural gas supplies?

Can't wait for the answer... LOL

Stop using oil. Oil is not the only source of energy. We need an administration to strongly say we will make a concerted effort not to use oil. Brazil did it it might be harder for us but it is possible.

Of course it is no big shock that during this hike in prices (which is completely due to increased demand ;) ) , Exxon is posting the largest profits in its history. In fact, the big oil companies were the majority of the 11 stocks on the dow that were up yesterday.

I'm sure it is all one big coincidence.

BTW...Saudi Arabia stated that it is increasing its production by 300,000 barrels per day. I am quite certain that the price of oil will continue its rise, citing India and China, ignoring the additional supply.
