GANGSTA pioneer ICE-T aims to turn DAVID HASSELHOFF into a rap star — by producing the ex-Baywatch actor’s first hip hop album.

Ice who paved the way for 50 CENT and EMINEM, told me: “The man is a legend. We are going to show a whole new side of him.”

The unlikely lads are near neighbours in Los Angeles and have struck up a close friendship.

Ice is convinced medallion-man Hasselhoff can take on the biggest names in rap. He said from a New York hotel: “He’s gonna come out as Hassle The Hoff.

“The Hoff will surprise people with his rap skills and humour.”

Lyons Township, graduated in 1970, I think.

My Dad went to high school with him.

Everyone hated DH back then, too.

I knew someone was going to say that  :D.

That when I had even deliberately left out the part at the end of the article that he was mainly popular in Germany ;).

    From the article:

"Hasselhoff had success as a soft rock singer between appearances in Knight Rider and Baywatch. He has released seven albums and was very popular, especially in Germany. He was honored in 1997 when German currency began bearing his portrait."

Okay, that last sentence was a lie :)

people here are such player haters man...

David Hasselhoff had / has a legit singing career in Germany, am I right? SJC? I haven't heard entire albums or anything, but the bits and peices I have heard are good. He's got the ballads and lyrical style of Julio Iglesias man. I support renaissance type entertainers. The guy is just playing a role.

I wouldn't say legit. His music is horrible, and only some dumb teenies liked him (well, a lot of teenies). The other people made fun of him from the start, though.

I guess I'm a teenie then... I'm a sucker for that adult contemporary / pop junk.
