    Hey all

Would y'all consider this the most boring offseason in a long long time. We've reduced to Voting for the final Power Dancer as a highlight instead of gawking over a trade. On a Bored scale of 1-10 how would rate this offseason 10 being bored $h1tless...

It seems like we say that every offseason.

We got new uniforms, a new coach, and a new player, not to mention the draft.

It could be worse. Much worse.

But I'll give it a 6 if that'll ease your mind.

    :)

    Ditto.

    Plus a new arena!

I don't know about you guys, but I am excited this summer. Lots of activity around the league to keep us all interested.

I mean I want to see a new Arena. The coach looks pretty ok... I was just thinking we'd have like a biiiiig Signing or the biiig excitement we had when we drafted Yao Ming... I guess I'm not seeing so much suspence since it seems to me that we haven't done way too much change on the roster... Not too excited about the things happening to other teams I'm more concerned with us i guess... well I guess there is still time in the offseason to surprise me...

Well after the last few offseasons (drafting EG and Yao), it has been very boring. You can't win the lottery every year though.

I can't wait for the season to start. New coach, new offense (centered around Yao), new arena, no more clown PJ's, Yao with a full NBA season under his belt...things are looking up IMO.

Apparently NBA and TV networks don't find Rockets boring. What the heck are you talking about? New Coach, New Arena, New system centered around Yao. Nice shooters added. Shaq-Yao III on X-mas eve on national TV. Is there anything more exciting?

Ya I know, don't you hate it when people give out false rumors, like saying Steve Francis told them Dunleavy would be the next coach?

I hate the offseason! The Rockets are my life almost, it just kills me when their season ends, I look for every bit of info that I can get my hands on - one reason why ClutchCity.net is the best.

What scares me is that we may well be back in the lottery in '04. Or we could finish 6th, but it will take great coaching to win that many with less than the same squad as last year's 9th Place finishers.

    Most boring off-season: 6

    Optimism for a good-great season: 10

All the talk about Posey leaving, all the trash talking about Moochie (myself included), all the talk about Boki sucking, etc. etc. etc. doesn't hinder the belief in my eyes that we are poised to have a good run this year. For all of the negative stuff I have seen on this board, I still think there is plenty to be positive about......as long as I never have to watch SF, Mobley and Moochie on the court all at the same time for more than 3 minutes a game that is......

How do ya'll think of this as the most boring offseason?? Rox are getting a new arena, new coach and assistant coaches, new logo and uniforms and we might have gotten a second round steal in Badiane. Plus we're heading into the Yao's second season with a team that has played together for at least a year or a little more, finally. Sure there are still things we wish would happen and players we would love to see thrown to another team, but all in all it's not a BORING OFFSEASON. Perhaps not as exciting as some like being part of a huge blockbuster trade and getting all-stars, but hey, you can't have that every offseason. You want a boring offseason? Go be a Grizzlies or Jazz fan.
