The last two games Stromile has played more minutes than Juwan Howard and I believe has finished the game playing in he fourth quarter. Sacramento game: Stromile 27 to Howard's 23 minutes Portland game: Stromile 27 to Howard's 24 minutes In both games he ended up with more points and rebounds than Howard. Do you think this trend will continue? Wil JVG be giving him more minutes?
Ever since the last couple of games hes improved a lot. Hes also a good closer. Unless JVG is a moron, i think he will get more playing time and should start. I don't see why trade him hes helpling a lot recently. I hope he is like this for the rest of the year,
He is getting better but still needs to keep out of foul trouble. If he can stay on the court longer he can get more points. I think we will continue to see gradual improvement from Stro.
Stro has the athletic tools, no doubt. I wish him well, but I would not count on him to be more than a X factor off the bench, which is what he has been his whole career.
Swift has definitely been playing a lot better as of late, he seems to be in better position on defense, and has been scoring a little better. I would still like to see what this Rocket team can do w/ Swift starting.
I do remember JVG yelling at Stro to get in position a few times last night. He even called a time out just to address this situation.
Stros has an awesome athletic ability, just like when he follow up a dunk infront of Prysillba on the 4th. I think that was pretty cool!
The only reason Stro played is because we were playing Portland. He made a ton of mistakes. However, if JVG doesn't let him make mistakes agaisnt Portland, he won't get a chance to play. And if he doesn't play, he doesn't improve. I like his play recently, but he has a long way to go.
The only moron is Stro. If he plays like he has a brain, he'll get minutes, especially in crunch time. If he regresses back to form, he will ride the pine. The guy has a very looooong way to go. Someone please (logically) explain to me what the rush is to start Stro. I really don't get it. He's played OK the last 2 games, yes, but that isn't saying much. It seems like a big deal because he was so sorry up until then. You'd think he had just busted out a couple of 20/10 games and done something special but all he's done is finally get off life-support. Let's hope the trend continues upward but I'm not convinced yet.
Yeah, let's just wait until after the break. Explain why not start him now. Howard is giving us less than nothing. Stro is the best 4 we've got right now.
The thing that has encouraged me the most is at least a semblance of synergy between Yao and Swift late in the last 2 or 3 games. Just a wiff. If they ever really click, and they can both stay on the court, it'll make a huge difference. Whether Swift has what it takes upstairs is something he's going to have to prove himself. The jury is out.
Stro just needs to think: defense, rebounds, and monstrous putbacks. The Rockets are dead last in offensive rebounds last time I checked. Stro could change that if he keeps on playing the boards.
wow, what ever happened to all the swift haters...looks like when we win no one makes negative threads
The Stro "haters" (and Stro skeptics like me) will be out en mass if/when he starts playing like a space cadet again. Two average games don't prove anything. Let's see what happens when he commits 4 fouls in 12 minutes with nill production in two consecutive bad losses. Of course most negative threads are started when we lose. What would you expect?
what r u, mad at the world or something?...u cant say anything positive bout him after hes had a couple of good games...r u one of those people who cant see someone prosper...u just want to wait for their downfall?...thats what u call a hater....and if people really think somone is not good or doesnt fit on this team than i expect them to be negative about them...win or lose...not just wait til we lose and make those threads...it sounds like ur not too sure if hes gonna be good or not too when u say if/when...but most of us arent, we just want to see him do good
