To add to the wild speculation, wouldn't it be incredible if the Pistons hired Rudy T? I know, I know. Rudy resigned due to health problems. He wouldn't want the pressure of taking over a eastern conference finalist that has Yao part II in Darko. Or would he? Maybe he was forced out. Maybe he is a hero in Michigan. Maybe he has 2 championship rings and the heart of a champion is still beating strong. Maybe he deserves a chance at coaching Darko Dirk Yaowitzski. Despite the craziness that has occurred in the NBA in the last 10 days, this is just too hairbrained to be a possibility. But someone please check his itinerary and phone bills.
I thought this too when I first heard the news that Carlisle was fired. But, alas: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58457
Yeah, I know. I'm just having fun with this. As for Brown to Detroit, nobody has said anything about this except espn. I'm sure Detroit has someone in their pocket, and it sounds likely that it's brown. But perhaps Detroit is thinking this: ok we fire carslisle because there are SEVERAL coaches that are available that we would prefer over Carslisle, including Brown, Dunleavy, Silas and VanGundy. I mean, why not Van Gundy. He's tough, defensive minded and has much experience in the eastern conference. Someone should check their phone bills and itineraries. There's many a slip between the cup and the lip. Maybe I'm just ticked b/c I really want Brown. Ah crap.
