3 straight dominant offensive games, and another one brewing tonight

he never had this kind of consistency before

    hopefully he keeps it up

I'll say this again until I'm blue in the face:

Now that Beasley is playing somewhere that nobody cares about in games that don't matter, he will flourish. I said this before the season started. The T-Wolves are the ideal team for him to be on because there are no expectations and no pressure. He can put up stats for a couple of years and entice some GM to make a big mistake and give him "long-term security".

Michael Beasley is the perfect player for a pathetic franchise. Teams that are in serious positions to win in the post-season and that play pressure games every night would do well to stay away from him.

before these past 3-4 games, he still was mad inconsistent

i think this revitalization started after that heat game in miami

i don't judge young players about where their head is bc they are so young; hopefully he will prove you wrong

Why didn't Pat Riley want to tap Beasley?

    Think so.

He'll never get any attention for it unless he wins a scoring title or Minny improves.

If he can stay consistent throughout the season then the T-Wolves got a great deal. As for 'tapping into his potential'. It could be a lot of things. Maybe Beasley felt pressured in Miami. Maybe he was constantly distracted off the court. Maybe he is getting more positive reinforcement in Minnesota, who knows.

Way too soon to call Beasley a superstar in the making though. Could be a fluke. Could just be a career year which he defies expectations then falls back to earth the next season. At least he is doing good as of now.

Odom is known for his passing and rebounding. Beasley does neither of those well.

I think he meant as far as having loads of talent but not having the work ethic or state of mind to go with it...

That being said, I think Odom has done very well for himself in recent years and has been very successful

I don't get why people like you come into threads that you don't care about and asks "Who cares about (insert thread topic)?"

If you didn't care, why the ***** are you here?

No, you're not but consider who said this and it puts things in perspective.

Yeah, people say that about Odom but the skills that he has a big man (handles, passing, and rebounding) don't just come out of thin air and aren't really just athleticism stats. That takes a lot of long hours working on your game. Despite what most think, it seems more likely that Odom's problems stem from just not being that bright.

Beasley is more of a scorer that just wants to play his way rather than fit in on a team. He has more of an attitude problem.

Most of what's posted on these forums is stated as fact but is actually opinion. You didn't know that already?

You know who your description of Beasley describes pretty well?

    Bosh.

No pressure as a Raptor = pseudo superstar. Extreme pressure as a Heat = paper tiger.

Of course you must take into account that he is not the best player to complement Lebron and Wade's game, but I still think this is a significant factor. Ideal franchise players step up even in the toughest situations and find ways to contribute.

I'm glad we dodged that bullet!
