That you won't be watching the Rockets anymore for about five months? For those of you who always look for those MMS links, has it sunk in that you will no longer come here looking for Demon's links? For those that watch locally or on primetime, has it sunk in that you won't work your day around the Rockets anymore? No more threads about how bad of a color commentator Clyde Drexler is for five months either.

For me, it has, and it sucks. :(

Five months will fly by. The season is the long part, waiting for the playoffs again.

For me it has. I have been sitting in a dark corner drinking and playing with my revolver since last night....

    Utah sucks.

What really sucks for me is that it will be like waiting a year before the real action and redemption comes. The regular season is a just a prelude. And yeah five months is a lot, but trade rumors will keep me occupied. :)

Sure is depressing, but got a few things to look forward to. Yao getting healthy and watching him play in the olympics, offseason moves, draft, etc.

It does suck, it feels like something is missing in my life now. Something that has given me incredible joy and/or anger since October.

Oh well, it's always nice in the offseason, the draft, free agents, making off the wall predictions that won't come true, etc.

yes... and it sucks, but it still doesn't hurt so bad.

most nbdl players on any roster, yao out for a third of the season, three players having surgery in the coming offseason, new coach offense/defensive scheme, management made deciding not to make knee-jerk trade reactions like the rest of the league... yet we were two wins from having the best record in the west, we won 22 games in a row, we beat the league's toughest road team twice in their building, etc.

however, i'll be disappointed if artest isn't in a rox uni next season. ;)

It doesn't hurt cuz of all injuries and we fought so hard and we even fought in our last game...proud of this team!

We still have hope. We can always hope Yao will be healthy for the whole season, like how we have been hoping for in the last 3 years. But maybe one day we will find out that this was just a pipe dream. I know I will get flamed by saying this but I am starting to think that Yao may never be able to realize the full potential that he possesses.

Nothing to be depressed about. They fought to the end and simply didn't have enough left to win. I'm OK with that. It's not like what happened last year that's for sure. Look at it this way: I live in Dallas and I'd rather have the situation with the Rockets compared to the situation now facing the Mavericks. One team is clearly on its way up while the other team is clearly on its way down.

Exactly. It sucks that I won't get to see anymore Rockets game or plan my day around them, but there is nothing to be sad about. We played hard. This series is not as bad as Dallas or as Utah last season.

Just try to enjoy the rest of the basketball season and then the draft will be here, trades will happen, signings, Olympics, training camp, preseason, and then it's back to the top of the West for the Rockets!

I agree. I'm in Dallas, too, and the feeling around the Mavs is so pessimistic. The Rockets are in a much better situation. Just hoping TMAC does not want out of H-Town (which I am sure he won't).

Rockets future looks bright. Let's stay healthy this coming season. Add in a Gilbert Arenas, Corey Maggette, or Ron Artest (all three as another scoring option). As long as we don't lose these players: Scola, Landry, Yao, TMAC, Battier, Brooks, and part of me wants Alston to stay (even as a backup), then I am fine.

yeah it's really hard to realize that I can't look forward to watching the rockets games anymore for another 5 months, but I know that the team tried to do as much as they could in this series, and I'm proud of what they accomplished throughout the season. Really looking forward to next year. Like many have said, hopefully we can add that proven third scorer this offseason, like a Miller, Artest, or Maggette type of player...

That thought hit me in the 4th, that's why I just sat there and watched the entire ship sink until the very end, just so i could salvage as much basketball as I could.

The team is so much better with Rafer in my opinion. For me rafer is fine in the regular season, he doesn't avg 20 points but he can drop 20 for you twice a week. But in the postseason his game doesn't rise up anything special ala derek fisher/tony parker. That's not a knock on him, its just championship teams have role players that rise up.

Bobby jackson and luther have to go in my opinion, maybe not luther if he's cheap, but bobby has to go, he's not a "winner" and I think we need as many "winners" as we can get.

in reality. Clutch summed it up best, our season ended when Yao went down

after game 5, I had plans for Sunday and didn't think of it being the last game of the season.

last night was inevitable, just wished it was the second round

last year was probably worse since I was at Game 7 and didn't leave my seats until they kicked us out.

today I'm ok, much to look forward to in the next few months
