Has anyone noticed how cheap the Rockets game entertainment is?

I have been a season ticket holder for over 11 years now, and ever since the Rockets moved into the new area, they spend zero dollars on entertainment. I know that I am going to the games to watch basketball, but the intermission entertainment blows!!!

What in the world happen to TURBO? The half time entertainment/people they had at Compaq where the same people every year and they were good acts, now they are all gone.....nothing the same.

What in the hell are the Tundra Dancers......a bunch an over weight Houstonians trying to dance.

Also the food is terrible.........Compaq had legit food....all the Pappas and many more.

Sorry for the long read, just curious if I am the only one noticing these things.

    Les........is a tight wad!

I dunno about all that, but the fact that they throw out 700 freaking tshirts during a timeout is pretty cool

Turbo retired and is now training others to do what he did, I think.

I love how from the name "Houston Rockets" comes "Clutch the Bear ."

Just like Sonics have that Chewbacca type thing, the Cavs have a dog mascot, etc......

Where do they come up with these things??

The T-shirt thing is pretty cool....if you sit in the lower level....low lower level as a matter fact. Other than that you can just watch.

We can do better than Clutch The Bear...thats for sure and I agree with the overweight dancers....THEY NEED TO GO

I understand the guy in the turbo costume retiring, but that doesn't mean they had to retire the act. Someone else could have taken his place, surely. It's like Philly retiring the Phanatic or San Diego retiring the chicken, just because the original person in the costume quit.

They should have the Rockets ball-boy, Brent Bourbon, dance with his partner. They are a hot couple, good to look at, very skilled, and a latin dance routine is 1 minute 25 seconds. Tundra is played out.
    Bring on some real dancers.

What ever happened to Big Bang? Have they had the nerve to comeback after they were booed of the court awhile ago?

The Texans don't have any halftime entertainment at all - just the Channel 13 back-up sports guy talking on the big screen. If I wanted to watch tv, I would have stayed at home to watch the game. At least the Rockets have something during halftime and the group of jumpropers/tumblers/breakdancers that performs during some time-outs is awesome.

That's Squatch, as in Sasquatch. He's susposed to be from the Pacific Northwest, which is where Seattle is located. I think he's one of the best mascots in the league. He does trampoline dunks and funny mascot stuff. Watch some of his videos on the Sonics web page, he's awesome.

Man, all this hate for the Tundra Dancers. You haven't lived until you've been to an all-you-can-eat buffet with these guys. Believe me. :D

BTW, one of the games I went to this year (I think it was the nuggets) they had some 8 year old rapper and he was just AWFUL. I never boo children but I just couldn't help myself this time. I boo'ed my ASS off.
