Has anyone here ever had a completely random hook-up?

    Supposedly, these things happen. I've never done it, and I've never seen it happen (though I have friends who SAY it's happened when nobody else was around). By random, I don't mean a friend-of-a-friend. My best friend used to hook up with my female friends all the time (pissed me off, too!.. but most people have done something like it). I mean, walking up to some random stranger in a bar or a club, making conversation (gone that far), but then going home with them.

    Do such things really happen outside of Hollywood and locker rooms?

    Happens many times in houston as well. Both myself and many of my friends have had these experiences. Very dangerous, in hindsight, but hey, it's a story.

    If this is your goal, you may be wise to focus on the 28-32 year old woman crowd. They are desparate and aggressive. Always remember to clean your apartment first and to have champagne on ice.

    Aren't you getting married? Why would you need a random hook-up? To answer the question. I have had the opportunity twice but I chose not to go thru with it because I had second thoughts that the person May have been a whack job and I was not going to take that chance.

    not me...

    but a friend of mine randomly hooked up with a guy at a bar, and it turned into a 5 year relationship! :eek:

    they broke up a few years ago though.

    I have been in bands most of my life and can attest that this is fairly common...and I am only an average looking middle age guy. ;)

    When the subject is sexual partners, there is much to be said for being discriminating and also for "safe" practices.

    I'm sure I could have...but honestly didn't want to. That fact was solidified when a college roommate who did this ALL THE TIME came home one day looking really violated.

    He had been to the clinic. Just a precaution...he wanted to be sure. As part of the test they jammed a Q-tip in his :eek:!!!!!

    Have you seen the Oreo demonstration?

    The teacher tells the students to pass around an Oreo and tells them to each do something to it. The first student takes a bite. The second student separates the cookie, licks the creme, then puts it back together. By the third student the cookie is already messed up. The point is the Oreo is supposed to represent random hookups.
