    The fact that a thread about a feel-good story of potentially the first Taiwanese-American playing in the NBA has dissolved into comparisons of what an individual has accomplished in his or her life, penis size, and immediate, unsubstantiated claims of "he's going to be a scrub" is making me seriously lose hope in ClutchFans as being one of the better boards on the Interwebs.

    Jeremy Lin, where mediocre happens. Seriously i dont get the love for this guy, he did JUST ALRIGHT against really terrible competition, mediocres it up in the SL, wasnt even drafted, and people love him like this?

    I wish the rest of the world loved mediocrity as much as the Lin fans of this board do.

    yeah lets not all forget that John Lucas and Smush Parker also tore up the summer league.. in fact wasnt Lucas the summer league MVP or something like that? Look how he fared in the NBA.. Jury is still out but Im rooting for him

    tearing up SL as a scorer and chucker is one thing, but having an all round savy game is another

    He just looked to be up another gear compared to others on the court IMO.

    Yes. People actually are rooting for him since he was not drafted.

    Very rare to see a Harvard grad with a viable chance to get to the NBA.

    Even rarer to see an Asian American.

    It's a nice story. The guy, at the very least, did enough to warrant a training camp invite. Arguably outplaying Wall in a game (much overblown I admit) also revved up the hype machine.

    If the Summer League was any indication, then the guy could very well have an NBA career. And that's why teams invite certain players to training camp. To see if they are good enough.
