http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawaka...ngton-no-longer-wants-to-play-for-don-nelson/ I think it would be good for the Rockets to give luther head and somobody else for this guy.
the last thing we need is to get a backup C who plays on the perimeter.... Ill stick with Mutumbo please thank you
The original source is the San Jose Mercury News, which, of course, we all know is an impenetrable source of NBA info.
Do we need another 6'9 big to play PF/C? And you guys are complaining about our bigs being short. Plus he makes around 9 mill this year and 10 mill next year, impossible to get him without trading one of our core rotation players. Would rather use that money to resign Artest.
I second this! Four PF's is already a lot. Back up center? If you gonna play 6'9 might as well go with Dorsey at 1/10th the cost and start getting him used to the game.
I would like that contrast at center occasionally. Someone who can step out and let Scola, Landry, and Artest go to work. But really its more of a gimmick weapon slot, not something worth bringing in Harrington for. Sign Mutombo, and maybe get Horry to handle the extend the defense gimmick position.
Morey said that he is done with trades. Luther has looked good this preseason, I see no reason to trade him... Plus, Yao will only have to play 24 minutes a game, we are going to pull our starters after the first half 90% of the time this season
If I recall correctly Luther played well last preseason... Also I don't know where you heard Yao playing 24 minutes from but thats not what Adelman is thinking. Even with the addition of Artest and Dorsey and Landry resigning he is still talking about major minutes for Yao. Hoping to cut it down a couple minutes from 40 last season but nothing major. Hopefully he might have changed his mind but only time will see.
There are about 10 million reasons this would be a horrible move and for all of those reasons, this is 1 horrible thread.
Harrington, Nelson deny trade story http://48minutes.net/2008/10/28/harrington-nelson-deny-trade-story/
People on the board tend to have a knee-jerk reaction to any sort of person that gets cut/wants a trade with a marginal amount of talent and want an immediate signing/trade for said person even though they likely won't fit in our system and our team is pretty damn good as is.
