Grizzlies Shopping Harrington According to the Vancouver
Sun, with the Grizzlies poised to take a power forward - either Stromile
Swift, Kenyon Martin and Marcus Fizer - it's no surprise they're
shopping incumbent Othella Harrington. That's sure to make
Harrington happy. He doesn't like Vancouver and wasn't thrilled when
Knight suggested he might be better suited to coming off the bench.
Sources say the Grizzlies are soliciting offers for the 6'8' 235-pounder,
hoping to land another first-round pick. With five years left on his
contract at a relatively low salary - $2.8 million next year - Harrington
could be attractive on the trade market.

What this "franchise" needs, is a Swift draft this year...

Man, Othella was such a good guy. I just wish he could play some D.

I guess they would want the pick this year. I'd be more than happy to give them Drew and our future Detroit pick for him.

Harrington is a back up at best.
he is not worth drew and a pick.
he doesn't know how to write D.
The only passing skill O has,is when he had to much to eat,and passes on the next meal.
    Do you get the picture?

Agreed. He would be a back up, but a good back up. He would provide a spark off the bench and give some scoring from the post to take off some of the pressure from the backcourt. He could run with the backcourt and he still is young. Maybe Drew and a lower rounder, or just Drew. But I know there is a disparity in salaries there.

Does anybody think Vancouver would take Drew and pick 38 for Othella? I'd like to do that deal. Othella is not a starter, but he is a quality player who can bring a spark off the bench. I'd do it.

Vancouver could use Drew and a future 1st round pick sounds reasonable, especially since they still owe Detroit one.

But, we already owe VAN one first rounder, I doubt we'd up that total to 2. A possibility would be if we got Phoenix's pick via Orlando this year....Drew/#25 for Othella? Maybe, maybe not.

As much as I like Othella, this doesn't bolster the Rockets' suspect interior defense at all.

    Kenny/Othella @ the 4 = layup drill
