Why doesnt anyone use it???? I go north every morning..... Its wide open and I cruise at 80 the whole way there. Going south in the afternoon is just about the same with a little more traffic, but I still hit 80 with ease. I dont know why anyone would take IH-45..... Oops.... Guess I just let the secret out!
Well, I guess most people don't have those high falootin' jobs that allow them to spare a dollar to go down a toll road. Can't you get cards now that allow you to go through a toll booth without stopping?
Whenever I've needed to go north to, or south from the CWMP or Dallas, I usually take the toll-road. I've never seen more than five cars on it though.
Really well. In addition to sales training for the industry, they actually have me doing some marketing things which directly relate to what I got a degree in..... What a concept. Right now I am desiging our advertisement for the GHBA monthly newsletter. Small potatoes perhaps, but definitely something that I never got to do at my 2 previous jobs.
Amazing isnt it? I almost started crying when I discovered it a few weeks ago. I think a lot of people forget that it is there..... Which is not a bad thing in my case.
Going north in the morning on I-45 on the north side of town is not all that bad is it? I remember traffic mostly moving in the other direction. As for the Hardy -- and Beltway 8 too, which I recently moved away from -- I'll be damned if I pay a toll on a road city taxes should have paid for a decade ago. I'd sooner take Airline than the Hardy toll road.
As far as Beltway 8 is concerned, I think it paid for itself a while ago. I could be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure it has paid for itself many times over because it makes around $1 million a day. Now it's a cash cow for the city . . .
I could be mistaken but I seem to remember reading that a Company in New York owns the beltway/Toll Road and gets most of the profits from it.
