Does anyone know if the Rockets are doing any of these promotions this year? The last couple of years they did and wore the throwback jerseys. I know last year they did it only like two or three times, but the year before that they wore the 1971-1972 jerseys quite a few times. Just wondering.
They usually do it when either the Pacers or the Magic (since they have blue jerseys) and I they did it one time when the Cavs came, so maybe then hopefully.
I believe it was an NBA wide thing and they haven't done it this year yet, so I don't think its gonna happen.
They have done it this year, with the Cavs and other teams its just the Rockets aren't in it this year.
yeah the wizards have done it too, i remember last year we didn't do it until about this time last year so its still a possibility i guess.
I remember reading on the official Rockets site (the part about fans sending in photos showing their Rockets pride) and it said something along the lines of throwbacks are good and nice, but lets try to send in more photos with the new Rox logos. So it might be that the organization is trying to push the new logo and unis. I personally like the idea of throwback nights, and own a white Yao and red TMac throwback so you can't forget the throwbacks... It would suck if the Rox don't do it. If the Wizards are going to wear that ugly gold alternate, then we should gladly and proudly wear our throwbacks...
