Hey Crew Dont post much but love a read. I am surprised that harden has coped some flack for his game 5. For mine its been one of his better in the playoffs. His defense was 10 times better then usual which shored up some of our perimeter issues and he also hit some monster shots when we needed them. I think some of the fans on this site need to look holistically rather then game to game. Just my thought curious to see the boards point of view Hodgo
you must have missed when he let his man cut to the basket for an easy two, absolutely unacceptable. overall, today was one of his better defensive games, which is a very sad statement.
The backdoor he allowed to Batum sticks out like a sore thumb, but he actually defended in transition today. Is this real life?
You may think I'm overreacting, but I wanna go on ur "ignore" lists. You're not real Rockets fans. Bye.
i still think he will show up in game 6. law of averages that someone with his talent cant have this many bad games in a row.
In the interest of saving you from all these repetitive posts you have to make, i'd like to point out that if you simply stop posting you will automatically be on everyone's Ignore list.
His defense was okay. He's still giving up on a lot of drives and letting his man go by him. He did that on the play where he got that clutch block, too.
He played much defensively than he did offensively. I really don't like the fact that he's settling for the 3-pter as much as he is. It almost seems like the only shots he's taking are 3s and the rockets need for him to play like reg season Harden that was always in attack mode offensively. Combine last nights defensive efforts with an attacking Harden, rockets are likely gonna pull it out.
his defense was better. he didn't hurt us on defense last night.... in fact i'd say he actually might have been a net positive on defense. however, aside from the 4th qtr, he was still a no show on offense, or worse, low shooting % with high volume of shots = net negative on offense. plus every time he gets the ball there is no more movement. he holds it for 7 seconds and everyone else just stands and watches. he's stopped attacking the basket because he isn't getting those calls and for some reason must think he can't finish at the rim without those calls, so he's just jacking up mid range fade-aways or contested step-back 3's. this series was a huge red flag for me. he may not be worth the max if he is a net negative on both ends of the floor in the playoffs.
He had 17 pts, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks, +10 in +/-, and that's a "bad" game for him. We're spoiled.
Definitely outplayed Aldridge in a big way. When LMA isn't hitting his shots, you don't get much else. The Beard gave you that line and was totally clutch at the end.
It's just the way superstars are judged in this league. The other night Westbrook had 30/10/10 or something of that sort and KD had 26/8/2. But since they lost to Memphis all that's talked about is how Tony Allen shut down KD and Westbrook is chucking up too many shots.
