People don't appreciate because they don't understand how he is that good. He's not a physical freak like Lebron, Durant or Greek Freak. He's not a crazy shooter like Steph. He just gets the ball in the hoop, and the casual fan can't figure how he does it, so they think he must be cheating. People also don't appreciate his passing. He's a better passer than anyone I've seen outside of Nash and Magic.

The best thing about Harden is the evolution of his game year after year. He is not ever the same player because of his adapting abilities and because he is both cerebral and stealth making it makes him almost unguardable.
I've said this before on Reddit: Fans don't like the be tricked and they think Harden is tricking them. All Harden's contemporaries, KD, Kawhi, Russ, Lebron, Curry, you can point to something they have that is God given, unstoppable and inevitable. You can watch a game with these guys and know there is nothing you can do to stop what they are about to do. Harden is different because it looks like he can be stopped, but he is just not being stopped. I imagine that is pretty infuriating to Harden haters.

I had Harden as a better shooting Melo (Melo a better post up player); but Iverson comparison works as well.
