Harden ranked 12th in jersey sales

Mainly the jersey sucks. Harden is starting to get love. A logo change and an MVP would put him top 6

 

Harden isn't the most likeable, but 90% is because of the jersey. Who in their right minds would buy this junk?

 

Yet he got the second most votes for the all star game not bad for someone not liked.

 

The black jerseys he had the record Triple Double in are sick, but the rest are terrible now... I made sure to get one of the black jerseys brought back to Australia for me

 

Many Harden fans are like Trump voters. They are out there for sure. But, they don't want to advertise it.

 

Harden becoming more athletic, making circus shots helps.... and shave off the beard

The jerseys and logo suck.

These numbers are US only, so I wonder what the numbers in China are.

Part of it is the market. DWade has the halo of championships and playing in Chicago; I'm sure the Bulls will always be a team that sells and draws attention nationwide. DRose (what a joke, but hey) is playing in the biggest media market. If Harden were a Knick or Laker or Bull (God forbid), he'd be ranked higher.

As it is, nobody wants to buy the (ugly?) jersey of the guy who makes your player and team look stupid by constantly putting him on the free throw line (until teams complain and the refs start looking the other way).

The jersey is designed to appeal to the Asian market anyway. I don't mind the look (at least it's not the Barkley "clown suit"), but I know more than a few Rockets fans who gripe.

 

Exactly! It's also comparable in the fact that people that like Harden can see why he's good, wheras people that don't like him tend to allow small things (lack luster defense) to completely cloud their vision of the greater picture

Wade and Rose also recently changed teams which would no doubt help in jersey sales. Those two aren't the best to compare him to

Bad logo, ugly jersey, and still a negative perception by fans and some media (cough cough Michelle Beadle) all contribute to this. He's one of the most polarizing superstars in the league because of his style of play, so this isn't a complete surprise. But seriously, instead of coming up with 14 alternative jerseys, it's time for a complete rebrand! The team is changing its image around the league.....time to get some new threads to match!

 

Jerseys are just uncomfortable, WAY too expensive, and not practical.

 

Jerseys are ugly AF. I really wanted a Harden jersey but there's no way I'd wear one of those in public. But now that we have the black alternates, I've been wanting to get one but they've been sold out for months in my size.

 

Only reason it's at #12 is because some ppl actually bought the Black Houston Jersey. If that didn't exist, Harden would be #20 on the list.

I don't know who's part of branding for the Rockets but they might be the worst in the NBA. Clueless.

I am sure Leslie Alexander is the only person who loves the Jersey (CHINA)

 

We should let the ownership know how we feel about these jerseys! Why hasn't anyone made a thread about changing the jerseys yet?
