Could "old man" Harden be a legitimate contender in the dunk contest? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ln30QAkZX50?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
If a Rocket is in this years Dunk contest it would have to be either Parson's, or Morris. Not to say these guys are elite Dunkers, but they have great size and are athletic enough to pull off some nice dunks. If Harden were to compete in a skill competition, I could see him involved in either the 3 point shootout, or the PG skills drill even though he's not a PG.
No. Harden is an excellent overall athlete but it's more spread over a variety of areas, strength acceleration body control etc. He has pretty good hops, but doesn't have the elite jumping ability you need for the dunk contest.
Voted no. James Harden is strong and powerful in the air but not particularly acrobatic nor a great leaper. Maybe if the contest was to see who could still dunk while being fouled?
Sure. Why not? We can't have BUDinger in there anymore. Unless it's rigged for someone to win it again... It's a moot point that I discuss these things with you youngsters who love these things... dunk contest should be abolished. His WHAT? And, we don't have a "Parson" in our roster.
I saw that too. Amazing to see that as well. I voted the first option since it is in HOU. I don't think we'd get to witness anything like Stevie did against VC, but it is in Houston this year. If he plays in the All-Star game then no, but if that was all he was in then ya I'd be curious to see it.
