Dude, it costs an arm and leg to do it. I think it ranges from $500-$3,000. Have you tried the software Ontrack Recovery? It might help a little.
It's usually really expensive. There are some programs that can do some data recovery that you can download, and sometimes Linux can do it too. If your drive is dead/dying, sometimes you can put it in the fridge and get enough life out of it to get your data off.
I had called around here in Dallas when I had trouble w/ my HD and they said it was going to cost me my 1st born....it sucks.
