    When I was in college, some buddies and I would take the closest weekend to March 2 and roadtrip to SA to see the Alamo.

    Wife and I were there last weekend. There was a LOT going on at the Alamo. We got to see "the letter".

    Truth is, we had no idea 2/23 was the 1st day of the battle. We were there to stay on the riverwalk for a weekend and just happened to be there that day.
