That's right, it's March 17! Time to sit back, watch some Congressional Hearings, plenty of college basketball and grab a Guinness, a Killian's, or even a bottle of Bailey's if you're in the spirit. How will YOU spend the day? HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! a truly underestimated holiday. who the hell is "saint patrick" anyway? a drunken green leprechaun gnome or something??
Well, at midnight, I brought in St. Paddy's day with an Irish Car Bomb at the club where I was playing. Good start. I'm playing tomorrow night (tonight) at Pat O'briens in San Antonio, so we should be packed from the beginning. It's too bad I don't know any good Irish drinking songs. I should, but I don't. I kind of know one, but I've never tried it. Maybe this will be the time to bring it out.
I'll probably go to dinner with the wife and kids. Share a pitcher of rita's the traditional Irish Mexican drink. I might even have some cake. I always have cake on St. Patricks day.
Just another day. I got plenty of excuses to drink, and don't really need anymore. But, I do know that Griff's is one hell of a place for St. Paddy's Day. If you go, GO EARLY! I think they start pouring at Griff's as soon as the sun comes up on St. Paddy's Day.
I do love me some Griff's. I'll break out my Areos Army shirt and head there for lunch today. Mr. Mooch dont forget HARP!
I celebrated last weekend. My dad made a five gallon keg of green homebrew for a party last Saturday. The beer was VERY green. He used 2 things of green dye becasue one didn't really work at all. It was the greenest stuff ever, but VERY tasty. My poo was still green as of yesterday. The funny thing is, I know everyone who drank that beer has had very green poos the past few days.
Will probably go down to the Warehouse District for some green beer tonight. I remember Fado's was absolutely packed last year.
Catching some green beer late tonight with a friend. I freaking love St. Patrick's Day!!!! I got bored with worshipping rocks and trees.
I think someone needs to start a homebrew thread. My brother in Maryland and a close friend of mine here in Houston both home brew their beer. My buddy here makes this ridiculous Bock that's like 15% alcohol. He puts it in empty Grolsch bottles. Last time I was at his house, I drank two of them on an empty stomach and got the stumblies. There is a homebrew supply store on Stella Link near Braeswood that I have been wanting to check out for a while now. I think it might be fun to try to homebrew some beer.
Don't know, but getting some green beer so I can have green poo... I'm in big D, so I think i'll go to Sherlock's or Champs so I can watch some games...
Going to a party in about 30 minutes that happens to be a golf tournament. Never played drunk before. Should be interesting.
I'm playing with a Celtic band at the Meridian tonight - I think around 7pm. I've got green shoes on at least.
