Well, today (12th Feb) is Chinese New Year! 2002 is the year of the HORSE

Tonight I'll be going to Chinatown with some Chinese friends for hours of feasting, followed by a street parade. Does anyone else on this board recognise/celebrate Chinese New Year?

    Happy New Year!

Our RA hates Valentine's Day (and I'm celebrating it later), so she decided to ban it. While all the other floors are red, pink and white, we're decorating the hall for the Chinese New Year! :D

Yep. This time of year always brings back fond memories. A long time back, Melanie Lawson (is she still at KTRK?), signed off the Ash Wednesday broadcast by saying:

"And to all the Catholics, Happy Ash Wednesday".

that's weird.. does she close out Chanukah broadcasts with "and to all Jews, Happy Chanukah?"

    what about Kwaanza?
"and to all African-Americans, Happy Kwaanza"

and yes... Melanie Lawson does still work at KTRK
