It's that time again!!! I've worn my Rockets shirt to work and I've prep'd all of my voodoo dolls and lined up my lucky bingo trolls on my desk!!! Here's to luck and wisdom falling into the Rockets good fortunes today...and not allowing them to *Buck Johnson* this draft pick!

Very exciting time for Rockets fans everywhere...we could be at a turning point for the direction of the franchise. I'm very anxious to see what deals the Rockets might be pulling off and who they'll ultimately pick!!!

Have a great day everyone!!! :)

Happy Draft Day....It's been a long wait, but I am hopefull that it won't be anticlimactic. In fact, based on what we've heard anything short of an impact starter would leave me feeling let down about now.Personally,I'd like to see Roy,Gay,or Williams.I will say this...It's a deep draft and that should keep most of us very interested all the way through at least middle second.

I'm watching to the very end. Hoping to hear, "With the sixtieth pick of the 2006 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons pick...

...Alan Daniels of Lamar University!" :D

Don't expect the rockets to makea big splash. Their so called big splashes of the past weren't anything to write home about. Expect nothing and be pleasantly surprized!

Yeah, even though I've been looking forward to this for a very long time, I'm not getting my hopes up. It sucks because I have class tonight and won't be home until around 8:30 at the best. Yeah I could skip, but for every class you miss you have to write a 3 page essay!! Thank god for TiVo.

co-sign. the rockets are not that good at drafting players. after all, we did trade richard jefferson for eddie griffin. drafted mirsad turkan, and bryce drew; which neither ever amounted to ****. drafted rodney mccray over clyde drexler. what bmakes you think the rockets will do any better in this years draft?

To be fair, getting Griffin was seen as a coup. Who would have known that Griffin would be a nutball, and Jefferson would turn out to be a stud?? Certainly no one at that time was predicting that...

To be fair, 13 other teams passed on Clyde, it wasn't just Houston....And looking at College stats, I can't justify the McCray pick except to say that lots of other teams saw the same thing we did and took a pass...

On the Turkan/Drew debacle, can't really defend those picks...We had a promise to Rashard Lewis and didn't fulfill it, and the kid has turned out to be a player...Big mess up..

Cross your fingers....remember, Rockets drafted Hakeem, Horry, Cassell, Dickerson (Who was a great pick until injuries killed his career), Mobley (2nd round), Othella Harrington (2nd Round), Head, YAO (Over the highly touted Jay Williams)...

I'm going to try to follow on chat but my 18 month old will likely make that difficult. Does anyone know if the draft will be broadcast on radio?
