The Father of Our Country deserves a thread, right?

He'd be 275 today. I can't help but think that he'd be proud that The United States of America has become the greatest nation in the world, even if it were nothing like the Federation he help found.

A great leader who turned down a chance to be the king, unlike some of politicans of today who could only dream of new ways to grab power at any level! Happy B day George.

A guy here at work was eating at a BBQ place here and guess who showed up for lunch? The other GW. He had is pic take with him, but the SS taking the pic messed it up so he had to get the WH press to take it and gave him a card to send off to get his pic sent to him. GW had the rib plater.

George Washington,You are still one of my favorite revolutionaries to have ever walked on earth.I'm sorry that there are infidels, who think they know more than you and the founding fathers.

    washington on commercial policy,

"It should hold an equal and partial hand;neither seeking nor granting exclusive favors or preferences;consulting the natural course of things;diffusing and diversifying by gentle means the streams of commerce,But FORCING NOTHING"
